The opening of the Berane edition at the Berane Cultural Center, with the continuation of screenings and accompanying programmes in Podgorica and Kotor, marks the third day of the FAST FORWARD Festival 2021.
The FAST FORWARD Human Rights Film Festival Montenegro 2021 today presents three new Montenegrin premieres at the Montenegrin Cinematheque in Podgorica, and in ’Boka’ Cinema the Kotor edition will be opened.
FAST FORWARD Human Rights Film Festival Montenegro opened tonight at the Montenegrin Music Centre with the Montenegrin premiere of the Cannes winner “Compartment No. 6”, by Finnish director Juho Kuosmanen.
On the International Human Rights Day – 10 December, the Centre for Civic Education (CCE) invites citizens to be part of the XII edition of the Montenegrin Film Festival on Human Rights FAST FORWARD, which is organized from 11 to 15 December in Podgorica, Kotor and Berane, in order to give impulse to the affirmation of the culture of human rights in Montenegro.
With the slogan “Everlasting battles”, the Centre for Civic Education (CCE) is organizing the XII edition of the Montenegrin FAST FORWARD Human Rights Film Festival 2021 in Podgorica, Berane and Kotor. Unlike last year’s edition, which was conducted in an online format, FAST FORWARD Festival returns to the halls.
For many in the region, lives are still in limbo, because the shadows of the 90s are above us all, and this should be openly discussed, with facts, and difficult topics communicated through film and media to contribute to dealing with the past, as concluded at the online book promotion and virtual photo exhibition “Life in Limbo – A Book of Scars” and a panel discussion “Shadow of the 90s over the Balkans” during the last day of the Montenegrin Human Rights Film Festival FAST FORWARD 2020, organized by the Centre for Civic Education (CCE) and the ZfD Forum.
The last day of the FAST FORWARD Human Rights Film Festival Montenegro 2020 closes with the film EMA, at 22h00, by one of the leading Chilean film directors Pablo Larrain, which critics say leaves without text because the visual elements are paralyzing and the dance scenes are stunning.
The film cannot change the world, but the engaged film can significantly contribute to pointing out inconsistencies in society and raising awareness about the problems of the LGBT community, it was stated today at the online panel discussion “Human rights under the mask – society’s attitude towards Pride”, which the Centre for Civic Education (CCE), with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, has organized as part of the FAST FORWARD Human Rights Film Festival Montenegro, upon the screening of the film “Let there be colour”.
The programme of the second and third day of the FAST FORWARD Human Rights Film Festival Montenegro brings six new premieres, among which are the holders of the highest awards of prestigious festivals.
