The FAST FORWARD 2021 closes with TEREZA37, the best film of the Pula Film Festival 2020 and the Croatian candidate for the 2022 Oscar, directed by Danilo Šerbedžija, while the guest of the FAST FORWARD 2021 Festival is the main actress and screenwriter of the film Lana Barić.
The regional premiere of the American-Brazilian film “A machine to live in”, directed by Yoni Goldstein and Meredith Zielke, and co-written by Bojana Radulović, Montenegrin producer and artist, marks the fourth day of the Human Rights Film Festival FAST FORWARD Montenegrin 2021.
The universal language of film can make a significant contribution to understanding the universality of human rights, as it has the power to shake up and sensitize, especially when it comes to understanding the challenges some of the most marginalized groups face, such as people with disabilities. The last day of the FAST FORWARD Human Rights Film Festival Montenegro 2020 closes with the film EMA, at 22h00, by one of the leading Chilean film directors Pablo Larrain, which critics say leaves without text because the visual elements are paralyzing and the dance scenes are stunning.
The film cannot change the world, but the engaged film can significantly contribute to pointing out inconsistencies in society and raising awareness about the problems of the LGBT community, it was stated today at the online panel discussion “Human rights under the mask – society’s attitude towards Pride”, which the Centre for Civic Education (CCE), with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, has organized as part of the FAST FORWARD Human Rights Film Festival Montenegro, upon the screening of the film “Let there be colour”.
The programme of the second and third day of the FAST FORWARD Human Rights Film Festival Montenegro brings six new premieres, among which are the holders of the highest awards of prestigious festivals.
