SYNOPSIS
This film is based on a true story. Andrea Specakatena was only fifteen years old when he suddenly took his own life. It was the first case of bullying in Italy that led to suicide, leaving the entire country in shock and disbelief. Everything began with his decision to wear a pair of red trousers his mother had bought him — trousers that, after being washed, turned pink. That seemingly small detail triggered a chain of insults, mockery and bullying, which escalated into relentless peer violence with a tragic outcome.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Margherita Ferri is an Italian film director born on 10 January 1984 in Imola. From an early age, she showed a strong interest in art, theatre and audiovisual storytelling, which naturally led her towards a career in cinema. She studied film and television at the University of Bologna and, thanks to a scholarship, spent part of her studies at the UCLA School of Film and Television in the United States. She later enrolled in and completed directing studies at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, Italy’s most important national film school, which greatly shaped her artistic sensibility. She began her career working on short films, documentaries and in various roles on film sets, including as an assistant director. These early experiences helped her develop a distinctive style grounded in social sensitivity, a focus on questions of identity and a careful, empathetic observation of the world of young people. Over the years, she has also worked on TV series, web series and commercials, confirming her versatility and ability to express herself through different forms of visual storytelling.
