FAST FORWARD 2024 Concludes with a Tale of Love, Resistance and Growth

The 15th Montenegrin Human Rights Film Festival FAST FORWARD, organized by the Centre for Civic Education (CCE), concludes today in Podgorica. The audience at the Montenegrin Cinematheque will have the opportunity to watch two exceptional films – Living Large and From Hilde with Love.

The screening of Living Large begins at 18h00. Through this work, Czech filmmaker Kristina Dufková introduces us to Ben, a 13-year-old discovering the effects of puberty on his classmates, who have changed significantly, especially Claire, who has become truly beautiful. Ben wishes to be noticed by her but struggles with being overweight, a concern even shared by the school nurse. Despite his passion for cooking, Ben decides to embark on a long and challenging diet. To face bullying from Max and his group, Ben relies on the support of his quirky family and friends Claire, Erik, and Sonja. Together, they form a band for the Christmas performance, marking the end of a year that will mature them, boost their confidence, and instill faith in life and love.

FAST FORWARD 2024 concludes with the screening of From Hilde with Love, by Andreas Dresen, starting at 19:30. Set in Berlin in 1942, Hilda gradually finds her place within the anti-Nazi resistance movement after falling in love with one of its members, Hans Coppi. With their lives constantly at risk, they share an unforgettable summer until they are captured by the Gestapo, and Hilda Coppi ends up imprisoned in the eighth month of her pregnancy.

Admission to all screenings is free, and more information is available at https://ubrzaj.me.
